Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 26 October 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the StoryVerse website, platform, applications and related services (“StoryVerse” or the “Service”), operated by SV Interactive Media Pty Ltd (ACN 701 247 707) (“SV Interactive Media”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing or using StoryVerse, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

StoryVerse is intended for adults aged 18 years or older. You must not create an account or use the Service if you are under 18. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or over and legally able to enter into these Terms.

2. The Service

StoryVerse is an AI-powered interactive romantic-fiction service. Users may create fictional characters, worlds, preferences, scenarios and story directions. Stories are closed-door romance: explicit sexual content is not part of the Service. Generated stories are entertainment, are probabilistic, and may contain errors, repetition, inconsistencies or unexpected material.

The Service is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German and French. Stories are written in the language you choose, and a story keeps that language for as long as it runs. Translated pages are provided for convenience; the English version of these Terms prevails.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity through your account except to the extent caused by our failure to take reasonable security measures.

4. Fictional adult characters

Any character involved in a romantic or intimate storyline must be clearly represented as an adult. StoryVerse must not be used to sexualise minors, persons presented as minors, or age-ambiguous persons. Non-consensual themes, extreme violence and harm to animals are blocked for every user. Attempts to evade these restrictions may result in blocking, suspension or termination.

5. User inputs and prohibited conduct

You are responsible for prompts, character descriptions, story directions and other material you submit. You must not use StoryVerse to request or facilitate unlawful material, child sexual exploitation or abuse material, sexualised depictions of identifiable real people without appropriate consent, trafficking or exploitation, unlawful threats, targeted harassment, terrorism or violent extremist activity, meaningful facilitation of serious wrongdoing, malicious software, infringement of third-party rights, or circumvention of security or safety controls. See our Content Policy for the full rules.

6. Real people and intellectual-property rights

StoryVerse is designed primarily for fictional storytelling. You must not use the Service to create sexual or intimate depictions of identifiable real people without their consent. You must respect privacy, publicity, copyright, trade mark and other third-party rights.

7. Preferences, boundaries and safety controls

StoryVerse provides preference, boundary and exclusion controls. We use reasonable efforts to apply them, but automated systems are not infallible and we do not guarantee that generated material will always match every preference. Users should stop reading and report content that materially breaches selected boundaries.

8. User Content

You retain rights you hold in original material you submit. You grant SV Interactive Media a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce and use that material only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support and improve the Service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

9. Generated output

Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, you may use output generated specifically for your account for personal, non-commercial purposes. Unless separately authorised, subscriptions do not permit systematic resale, commercial publishing services, bulk redistribution or representation that output is exclusively human-authored. Similar output may be generated for different users and copyright protection is not guaranteed.

10. StoryVerse intellectual property

The StoryVerse software, brand, interfaces, databases, designs and proprietary platform materials are owned by or licensed to SV Interactive Media. Except where permitted by law, you must not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, resell or commercially exploit the Service without written permission.

11. Plans, chapter allowances and pricing

Available plans, billing periods and prices are shown before purchase. Prices are quoted in the currency shown at checkout, which follows the country you are in. The Service is delivered digitally: access begins as soon as your plan starts — when your payment is confirmed or, with a free week, at once (see “Free week”).

Our plans give unlimited reading with a fair-use limit of 10 new chapters a day. The limit resets at midnight in your own time zone. Reaching it pauses new chapters until then: a chapter you have already started can still be finished, nothing extra is charged and your plan is not suspended. The daily number does not accumulate — chapters not opened on one day do not carry over to the next.

A plan is for the personal use of one reader. You must not share your account or its plan with anyone else, and you must not access the Service by automated means such as scripts, bots or scraping. The fair-use limit is there so that one account stays one reader.

Subscriptions started before these Terms took effect keep renewing at their own price. Starter keeps its weekly allowance; earlier Creator and Annual plans move to unlimited reading with fair use at their next renewal.

We may change plan prices or features. We tell existing subscribers by e-mail before a price change applies to them — between 7 and 30 days ahead — with how to cancel; a price change never applies to a period already paid.

12. Recurring subscriptions

A recurring subscription renews automatically at the disclosed billing interval, at the price shown before you confirmed, until cancelled. You authorise our payment processor, Stripe, to charge the selected payment method at the start of each billing period. You can cancel online at any time in Settings → Membership, in two taps. Cancelling stops the next charge, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for (during a free week, until the free week ends). Before a yearly plan renews, we e-mail you a reminder. Cancellation does not retrospectively cancel a completed billing period, subject to rights that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Free week

New members may be offered a free week: the first 7 days of a plan without charge. What it costs afterwards is shown before you confirm, and these terms apply:

  • One free week per account, ever. Readers who are not eligible — for example because they have had a plan or a free week before — see the full price before paying, and their plan starts with an immediate charge.
  • A card is required to start it. Nothing is charged on the day it starts.
  • The first charge is taken 7 days after the start, at the price and billing interval of the plan you chose. The plan then renews automatically, as described in “Recurring subscriptions”.
  • We e-mail you when the free week starts, with the exact date and time of the first charge, and again before that charge is taken.
  • Cancel before the free week ends and you are never charged; you keep access until the free week ends.
  • If the first charge fails, new chapters pause until it is paid. You can pay with another card from Settings → Membership.
  • We may stop offering the free week to new members at any time. A free week that has already started runs as agreed.

14. Payments and taxes

Payments are processed by Stripe. StoryVerse does not receive or store complete card numbers. Prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout. Taxes may be included or added as required. Banks or card issuers may impose separate foreign-exchange or transaction charges.

Charges appear on your card statement as “SV INTERACTIVE”, a neutral company name; the first charge after a free week may show as “SV INTERAC* TRIAL OVER”.

15. Consumer guarantees

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, our services come with statutory consumer guarantees.

If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have a 14-day right to withdraw from your subscription, and if you live in Brazil, a 7-day right of regret. Both are explained in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

16. Refunds and cancellation

Refunds and cancellation are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable law. A statement that a digital service is “non-refundable” never overrides statutory consumer rights.

17. Service availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, upgrades, network issues, security events and third-party AI, hosting or payment outages may affect the Service. We may modify features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable consumer law.

18. Third-party providers

StoryVerse uses third-party AI, hosting, analytics, communications and payment services. Their availability and technical performance may affect StoryVerse. Where required, use of a third-party component may also be subject to that provider’s terms.

19. Suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe there has been a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, unlawful activity, prohibited content, fraud, abuse, a security threat or material legal or regulatory risk. Where appropriate and lawful, we may provide notice or an opportunity to remedy a breach.

20. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not promise that every story will meet expectations, every request will succeed, generated output will be unique, memory will be perfect, or the Service will be continuously available. These limitations do not affect non-excludable statutory rights.

21. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SV Interactive Media is not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss arising from use of StoryVerse. Where liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, it is limited only to the extent permitted by law. Nothing excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful.

22. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify SV Interactive Media against reasonable losses and costs arising from your unlawful use of StoryVerse, material breach of these Terms or infringement of another person’s rights, except to the extent caused by our own wrongful conduct.

23. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for changes to the Service, law, security or business operations. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required. Material changes affecting existing paid users will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

24. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and applicable Commonwealth laws of Australia. Nothing in this clause removes rights a consumer may have under mandatory laws in another jurisdiction.
