This policy applies to information collected through StoryVerse, our website, account systems, support channels, payments and related services.

• Account information such as email address, authentication identifiers and account settings.
• User Content such as fictional character details, worlds, preferences, boundaries, prompts, story directions and saved stories.
• Subscription and transaction information. Full card details are handled by the payment processor, not stored by StoryVerse.
• Technical information such as IP address, device and browser data, log data, security events and essential cookies.
• Usage information such as generation events, feature interactions, subscription status and performance or error data.
• Support communications and information you choose to provide when contacting us.

Because StoryVerse is a personal fiction service, prompts, preferences or stories may reveal private information. You should avoid submitting unnecessary real-world identifying or sensitive information. We treat private story data as confidential account content and apply access controls appropriate to its sensitivity.

Information submitted for story generation is transmitted to contracted AI infrastructure providers to generate and deliver the requested output. Providers are contractually limited to processing this data to deliver the Service, and we configure available data-retention and training settings consistently with the promises in this policy. The current provider list is available on request via support@getstoryverse.com.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, subscription details, billing country and limited payment metadata. We do not store complete card numbers. Stripe’s handling of your payment details is described in its own privacy policy.

StoryVerse uses essential cookies: authentication (keeping you signed in) and interface preferences such as your reading theme. If you arrive from one of our own advertisements, we also keep the advertising network's click reference in a first-party cookie for 30 days, solely to measure our own advertising; it contains no personal information and is not shared with any other advertiser. We do not run third-party advertising cookies. If non-essential technologies are introduced later, any legally required choice will be obtained before they activate.

We may disclose personal information to service providers that help operate StoryVerse, including hosting, AI, payment (Stripe), communications and security providers; professional advisers; regulators or law-enforcement bodies where legally required; and a purchaser or successor in connection with a genuine corporate transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Some service providers process information outside Australia (including in the United States and the European Union). We take steps required by applicable privacy law in relation to cross-border disclosure and processing.

We use industry-standard administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, legal obligations, fraud and security prevention and dispute resolution. You may request account deletion by contacting support@getstoryverse.com. Some information may be retained where legally required or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or legal claims.

You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable exceptions. Contact support@getstoryverse.com. We may need to verify identity before fulfilling a request.

Where permitted, we may send marketing messages to users who have consented or where otherwise lawful. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe mechanism. Transactional, security and account messages may still be sent where necessary.

Privacy questions or complaints may be sent to support@getstoryverse.com. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period. Where Australian privacy law applies, individuals may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

StoryVerse is not directed to children and requires account holders to be 18 or over. If we learn that an under-18 user has provided personal information contrary to our eligibility requirements, we may close the account and delete information where appropriate and lawful.

We may update this policy. The current version and effective date will be published on StoryVerse. Material changes will receive additional notice where required.
