Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This policy explains cancellation, renewal and refund arrangements for StoryVerse subscriptions and digital entitlements. It does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law, and should be read together with the Terms & Conditions.

1. Subscription billing

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe in the currency shown at checkout, at the price and interval shown at checkout. Recurring plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the next renewal date. A plan that starts with a free week charges nothing on its first day: its first charge is taken 7 days after the start, at the price and interval shown before you confirmed. Charges appear on your card statement as “SV INTERACTIVE”; the first charge after a free week may show as “SV INTERAC* TRIAL OVER”.

2. Cancelling a subscription

You may cancel at any time in Settings → Membership, in two taps. Cancellation stops future renewal. Unless required otherwise by law, access normally continues until the end of the already-paid billing period. Cancel during a free week and nothing is ever charged; you keep access until the free week ends.

3. Unused chapters or allowances

Our plans give unlimited reading with a fair-use limit of 10 new chapters a day. That daily number does not accumulate — chapters not opened on one day do not carry over — and it has no cash value. Starter keeps its weekly allowance; earlier Creator and Annual plans move to unlimited reading with fair use at their next renewal. Cancellation does not ordinarily convert unused chapter allowances or subscription entitlements into cash, subject to applicable law.

4. Change of mind

Because StoryVerse supplies digital services that may be made available immediately, we do not ordinarily provide refunds solely for change of mind after a paid service has commenced, except where required by law — including the rights described in “Withdrawal (EU/UK) and right of regret (Brazil)” below — or where we expressly offer a refund guarantee.

5. Withdrawal (EU/UK) and right of regret (Brazil)

European Economic Area and United Kingdom. If you live in the European Economic Area (the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) or the United Kingdom, you may withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of the day it started, without giving any reason. A free week is part of those 14 days — they run from the start of the free week, not from the first charge — and the right applies once: it does not start again when a free week turns into a paid plan. When you start a plan you ask us to begin at once, so you can read straight away; this does not take away your right to withdraw.

To withdraw, use “Withdraw from contract” in Settings → Membership, or write to support@getstoryverse.com; you may use the model form below, but you do not have to. Your plan then ends at once and we refund everything you have paid for it, in full, to the card you paid with. We confirm your withdrawal by e-mail, with the date and time we received it.

Model withdrawal form (complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract):

  • To: SV Interactive Media Pty Ltd (ACN 701 247 707), Australia — support@getstoryverse.com
  • I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service: a StoryVerse subscription
  • Ordered on: …
  • Name of consumer: …
  • Address of consumer: …
  • E-mail address of the StoryVerse account: …
  • Signature of consumer (only if this form is notified on paper): …
  • Date: …

Brazil. If you live in Brazil, article 49 of the Consumer Defence Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor) gives you a right of regret: you may cancel within 7 days of the start of your subscription, and again within 7 days of its first charge, and receive a full refund of what you paid. Use “Withdraw from contract” in Settings → Membership, or write to support@getstoryverse.com; your plan then ends at once and the refund goes back to the card you paid with.

6. Service problems

If you experience a material service failure, duplicate charge, incorrect billing or an entitlement that was not supplied, contact support@getstoryverse.com. We will investigate and provide any remedy required by applicable law.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes consumer guarantees or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the circumstances, a consumer may be entitled to cancellation, a refund for an unused portion, rectification, compensation or another statutory remedy.

8. Promotional and free access

Free chapters and the free week have no cash value and are not refundable — nothing is charged for them. If you leave a story in its first scenes and start another, that free chapter is given back, up to twice per account. Promotional conditions disclosed at the time of an offer also apply.

9. Price changes

We tell existing subscribers by e-mail before a price change applies to them — between 7 and 30 days ahead — with how to cancel. A price change never applies to a period already paid.

10. Account termination

If we terminate a paid account for a serious breach of the Terms or Content Policy, refunds are not guaranteed, subject always to non-excludable legal rights. If we discontinue a paid service without providing the purchased entitlement, we will provide an appropriate remedy where required.

11. How to request help

Contact StoryVerse Support at support@getstoryverse.com and include the account email, transaction date and a brief description of the issue. Do not send full card numbers or security codes.
